Trapezoid Step Cut

Contact Us     Back
Step Cut is a method of faceting diamonds in which the stone produced is rather flat with steps, or rows. The step cut Diamond is characterized by long, rectangular facets, which run parallel to the girdle, as opposed to the brilliant cut, in which the facets face away, up or down, from the girdle. There are fewer facets in a step cut diamond than in a brilliant cut diamond. The emerald cut, Baguette and Asscher cuts are good examples of the step cut diamonds.
